In recent years, the consumption structure of PP has been gradually changed due to the development of PP injection products and packaging film. The proportion of PP used for drawing wire has decreased, but it is still the biggest area of PP resin consumption. In 2003, China produced 2.6 million tons of wire-drawing grade PP, accounting for 56.6% of total consumption. In the future, wire-drawing products will develop towards large and heavy packaging bags, that is, towards packaging bags. On the other hand, they will develop towards high strength, anti-static electricity, anti-aging and other packaging bags.
In 2003 China's only woven bag production reached 26.8 billion, except for the export of 1.3 billion, the remaining for domestic consumption, and are mainly concentrated in the cement, chemical fertilizer, chemical, food, feed, crude salt, and other fields. Production and apparent domestic consumption of Chinese wire drawing products are expected to continue to grow by 2010, but at a slower pace. It is estimated that the average annual growth rate in 2000-2005 is 6-7%, and the average annual growth rate in 2005-2010 is 4-5%. The production, export and apparent domestic consumption of PP woven bags will reach 2.21 million tons, 150,000 tons and 2.06 million tons respectively in 2005 and 2.69 million tons respectively in 2010.
In addition, PP wire-drawing products in the field of cloth, rope and other areas of rapid growth in demand. By domestic supply most of its raw materials used in the production of wire drawing, domestic production of PP can completely meet the needs of knitting products, the main brand in the process of mitsui F401 and 2401, the sea T30S of monte process, are main products of the PP production enterprises in China, and in the little body process of PP powder, etc. Nearly all polypropylene production enterprises in China can provide PP resin for weaving bag production. Due to the insufficient self-sufficiency of PP resin in China, China also imports some PP drawing materials. The main import brands include Japan's F601, F301, F401, Korea's H436, H730F, India's H03SG and Saudi Arabia's 500P. The production of plastic woven bags with imported materials is less for domestic consumption and more for export. In addition, China (mainly in zhejiang, shandong, jiangsu and other places) each year, about 15 to 300000 metric tons of recycled PP resin used in the production of wire drawing products, use of recycled materials led to the decrease of the quality of the PP wiredrawing products. Due to domestic wire products processing enterprises and more complex, has a large modern enterprise, also has a cottage industry "underground" processing plants, products quality difference is bigger, the market is relatively chaos, bring some negative effects on PP market.
In the future a long time PP wiredrawing level product demand in our country will still be very big, the industrial development on the one hand, to large, ChongXingHua packaging development, on the other hand to develop in the direction of low degree, small bags. But that share will continue to fall. Therefore, domestic PP production enterprises should strive to increase the output of special materials and gradually reduce the proportion of wire drawing products so as to adapt to the change of market demand structure and achieve better benefits. Shanghai petrochemical, qilu petrochemical, yanhua and other enterprises have developed in this direction in recent two years and achieved good results.
